The space Our finished daylight basement unit is a "hidden gem" that is much larger than it appears in photos. It features a comfortable living area, and functional kitchenette for preparing meals, laundry center, bathroom, bedroom and huge living area, dining table and a dedicated desk for remote work. We've created a "cozy" space that makes you feel right at home. Perched on a hill with water views, the space stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Our location is very private, backing directly up to the greenery of the park. Guest access Guests have full private access to this spotless, uncluttered basement suite. Entry is easy with clear instructions, and we’ve installed motion-sensing lights along the side path for safe arrivals after dark. There is plenty of free street parking available in our safe, quiet neighborhood. From here, it is a 5–10 minute walk down the hill to Alki Beach shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Other things to note Our location is phenomenal for exploring: just a 15–20 minute drive to Pike Place Market or a quick water taxi ride to downtown. The unit is well-stocked with all the amenities needed for a long weekend. Please note that because we are on a hill, the walk back from the beach is a bit steep but manageable. The home is a mid-century rambler, with central air ducts that carry sound. As we live upstairs, you may occasionally hear the muffled sounds of our tiny dog.
