The former Vogtshof of the St. Georgen Monastery is the oldest residential building in the Rottweil district of Bühlingen. It was first mentioned in 1380. It is estimated that the Vogtshof, as the most important building in the village after the end of the 30-year war (1618-1648), in which the whole of Bühlingen burned, was the first to be rebuilt. From 1983-87 the house was extensively and expertly restored, so that it now resembles its original condition. All rooms, except the original farmhouse parlor, have underfloor heating. The original plank floor is still in the room, which is why radiators were installed here. The living room also has a wood-burning stove, which is fired from the kitchen and provides cozy warmth in winter. There is another basic oven in one of the bedrooms in the basement. We are a "crazy" Black Forest family with 4 children who keep us on our toes with their ideas.
