Ancient villa near Arezzo
The Antecchia farm is a wonderful and ancient villa, 8 km from Arezzo in Tuscany, today has become a typical farmhouse in the green hills of olive groves and vineyards. Coming from Arezzo (Porta San Clemente) or exit (ring road) should follow the SS Casentinese to the fork on the right for Puglia-Tregozzano; after Tregozzano towards Chiassa Superiore turn right and come to Campriano Trattoria la Capannaccia take right into the dirt road leading to the villa. The original building, dating back to the year 1000 d. C., was a small monastery that was used by the monks to receive the pilgrims who crossed the Apennines and headed to Rome. In '700 there were extensions and modifications to adapt the building to the main villa. Subsequently, the villa was used as a residence of the settlers and sharecroppers during the sharecropping. The last major renovation, before the current, dates back to 1961 when it was again used as a house of the owner of the farm. The farm has three apartments, one double bedroom and a single bedroom. "Nocetta": loft consisting of a bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa bed and bathroom with shower. Conditioned air. "Poggiolo": large loft with double bed, living room with sofa bed and bathroom with shower. Conditioned air. "Boletaia": ground floor apartment with bedroom, living room with sofa bed and bathroom with shower. "Yellow Room": double room with private bathroom. "Green Room": single room.
