Elne Cloister House

The house with a surface area of 92 m2 and fully privatized for you, is located in the upper town (old town) of Elne, at the top of the ramparts, in front of the cathedral and its magnificent cloister. Its foundations date back to the Middle Ages but it has recently been renovated, while preserving its charm. The sea is within 10 minutes, Perpignan and Collioure within 20 minutes, and Spain within 1/2 hour. The space We bought this very old house (one of the walls is the rampart of the old town) in 2003, and we completely redid it by incorporating all modern comforts. However, we tried to respect the soul of the house by keeping some period elements such as the beautiful cement tiles on the floor of the 1st floor, old furniture or old dishes. It is perfect for a family with 3 children, or for 2 couples (sleeps 5). Guest access Access is very easy from the A9 highway (count 25 minutes). Follow the direction of Argelès-sur-Mer, then Elne, then cathedral. Enter "Plateau des Garrafes" in your GPS. The house is located on the small street that goes down to the end of the plateau. Other things to note It is possible to access the front of the house with a car to unload luggage and park.
