"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home

"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. Although built in 1884 Anglesey has all of the facilities that are expected in a modern home. More history available in the guest guide. The space Your apartment is fully self contained is on the ground floor with a private entrance, beautiful outdoor entertainment with BBQ available. The space is unique and has been carefully renovated to highlight the buildings heritage, and yet has all mod cons. The main bedroom has a king size bed and a single bed. Dressing table, rode, heating and bedside tables and lamps. Leading off the main bedroom is a large bathroom, shower, double vanity, toilet suite and in addition a washing machine, dryer iron, ironing board, mop, bucket and a linen cupboard with a selection of pillows and doonas. The kitchen has a microwave, stove, grill and oven, kettle, toaster, refrigerator/freezer contains breakfast supplies, cupboard space for crockery, cooking equipment, condiments, cutlery, tea towels and placemats. A selection of various teas, coffee, biscuits and cereals are supplied. The living and dining area has an extendable dining table to seat six to eight, a sofa bed (queen size), a three seater jacobean lounge and a single. Desk with smart TV offering Netflix, DVD player and large selection of DVD's, live to air channels, air conditioning and free wifi. The second bedroom contains and queen size bed, a king single bed, desk, TV, lounge chairs, beautiful marble fireplace and is air conditioned. The third bedroom contains a queen bed and a king single. Smart TV, Netlix and Wifi. The second bathroom contains a small bathtub with the shower overhead, vanity, toilet and hairdryer. Down the hall is the second bathroom with a shower over the bathtub, vanity, toilet and a hair dryer. Guest access The main private access for the apartment is under the terrace. The apartment consumes one quarter of the building, however across the hall is the second and third bedroom and down the hall is the another bathroom. The hall is shared space with the owners. The back garden can be accessed from the rear lane and off street parking is available. Other things to note MOST IMPORTANT:- The accommodation provided has various options. There is a self contained apartment which accommodates one couple minimum with a king bed, single bed and a queen sofa bed in the lounge. When you book for more than two, you can have the option of another bedroom, or two, with another bathroom. Depending on the number of guests and sleeping requirements.
