There's plenty of space for children to run around, or kick a ball and in summer, you can visit the Egmont Village School Pool. Other things to note Worried about COVID? If you can't travel because of a government lockdown, we'll work with you to either change your dates or provide a refund. Post Office Cottage is a rural property that relies on rain water for its water supply and has a septic tank. We ask that you conserve water where possible, and only flush toilet paper. Neither the water supply, nor septic tank are likely to impact on your stay if you treat them with respect. Our cat Cocoa, lives in the house with us and looks a bit strange. Following an infection, her tail had to be amputated! She usually stays away from guests but sometimes comes to the cottage when we're cleaning. If you have an extreme allergy to cats please take this into consideration. We also have free ranging chickens who like to hang out on the cottage verandah when it's raining and a pet sheep (Wallace). In 2019 the bedroom and living space was renovated and is now fully insulated with a heatpump for heating and cooling. The kitchen and bathroom are tidy but not yet renovated (a future project). We think it adds to the charm, character and uniqueness of the Cottage. The cleaning fee is in place to cover the cost of cleaning and the linen hire. It's a one off charge, so the longer you stay, the less on average, you pay per night for cleaning.
