The White & Black Cottage is a cozy home within walking distance of downtown Glens Falls. There is a Cumberland Farms and a Stewart’s a block or two away for quick food items. Glens Falls has numerous wonderful restaurants and there is a notebook with many of the menus in the house. There are art galleries, LARAC, The Hyde and the Shirt Factory. Live music and theatre is available at the Wood Theatre and the Park Theatre and Strand Theatre. We are 20 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga. The house is very quiet and private. The cottage is perfect for 4 people, but no more than that. There are lots of windows to let in the light, but good blinds and window coverings for privacy. There are hardwood floors throughout. Two cars can fit in the driveway. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking your meals. Plenty of dishes, utensils, silverware and pots and pans. There are towels, oven mitts and dish soap available. The refrigerator provides filtered water. There is a washer/dryer and laundry pods are provided. The bedrooms are comfortable and each has a TV with cable. There are big closets in each. Bathrooms have hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and plenty of towels. There is a fireplace that turns on, but it is just ornamental. The house is warm and well insulated and has air conditioning in summer. There is a lovely private back patio in summer. Please do not move the beds as this weakens the support. The entire house is for your use, excluding the basement. The driveway fits 2 cars. There is a private backyard patio for warmer weather. We are readily available through the Airbnb website. We may stop by to water the plants. Trash pickup is Friday so we will put the bins by the road on Thursday. We may come by to shovel in winter. Glens Falls has a lot going on and you can walk or drive easily to everything. It is a quiet residential neighborhood. It is easy to walk around Glens Falls. There is a bike path that goes up to Lake George. There is on street parking, free parking lots and a pay parking garage in town. There are taxis and Ubers and there are public buses. Note: I am required to collect 4% NY state tax and 3% Warren county tax during your stay. Warren County charges a 4% occupancy tax. This is a total of 11% of the amount you pay me. There will be an email from Airbnb the day you check in. You can accept the charge through that email and it will be charged to the credit card that you have on file.
