Description
The White & Black Cottage is a cozy home within walking distance of downtown Glens Falls. There is a Cumberland Farms and a Stewart’s a block or two away for quick food items. Glens Falls has numerous wonderful restaurants and there is a notebook with many of the menus in the house. There are art galleries, LARAC, The Hyde and the Shirt Factory. Live music and theatre is available at the Wood Theatre, the Park Theatre and Strand Theatre. We are 20 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga. The space The house is very quiet and private. The cottage is perfect for 4 people, but no more than that. There are lots of windows to let in the light, but good blinds and window coverings for privacy. There are hardwood floors throughout. Two cars can fit in the driveway. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking your meals. Plenty of dishes, utensils, silverware and pots and pans. There are towels, oven mitts and dish soap available. The refrigerator provides filtered water. There is a washer/dryer and laundry pods are provided. There is an electric grill and the utensils are on a tray near the back door. Feel free to take the tray outside for use but bring it back in when done. The bedrooms are comfortable and each has a TV with cable. There are big closets in each. Bathrooms have hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and plenty of towels. There is a fireplace that turns on, but it is just ornamental. The house is warm and well insulated and has air conditioning in summer. There is a lovely private back patio in summer. Please do not move the beds as this weakens the support. Guest access The entire house is for your use, excluding the basement. The driveway fits 2 cars. There is a private backyard patio for warmer weather. Other things to note Note: Airbnb has started to collect the 4% NY state sales tax and 3% Warren county sales tax for your stay for all bookings made after March 15, 2025. This is called “Occupancy Tax” on the website and the app. Warren County also charges a 4% occupancy tax which Airbnb will start to collect on future bookings labeled “Property use tax”. For bookings made prior to July 8, 2025, I will need to collect the Warren County occupancy tax by way of an email from Airbnb.
