This clean and quaint Victorian Bungalow was originally built in 1902. It has since been lovingly refurbished into a charming and comfortable home with all the modern amenities of today. From the claw foot tub to bathe in, to the fire pit and outdoor patio to lounge outside, just about anyone will enjoy the use of this home for their vacation or work trip. Only 1 mile from Old Town Eureka, and a quick 7 mile drive into Arcata, you can be just about anywhere in Humboldt County within minutes! This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom historic Victorian Bungalow is fully loaded and ready to enjoy! It has a full kitchen, stocked with basic cooking supplies and appliances, a full laundry room, a soaking claw-foot tub for a bath or shower, an outdoor patio and fire pit, and plenty of space to sleep and feed 6 people. There is a queen sized bed in one room, 2 twin beds that can actually push together to form one large bed, and a sofa-bed that folds out to another queen sized bed in the living room. It is a clean and comfortable space, with lots of natural light and thoughtful touches that have aimed to preserve the age and history of this home, while offering all the modern conveniences of today. There is a shared back yard with another guest house. This back yard space that you have access to includes your own (private) deck, a (shared) brick patio, Adirondack chairs, a fire pit and a BBQ. We love hosting for AirBnb! We do not live on site, but do live just around the corner, so if you have any needs during your stay, we can likely attend to them right away. Check-in is easy and simple with keyless entry pads, so you can check-in anytime after 4:00 of the day you arrive. The Bungalow is a quick mile to Old Town Eureka, home of our favorite cafes, restaurants and shops. It is also just about a mile from 2 local natural food stores (The North Coast Coop and Eureka Natural Foods), both which can provide you with anything you might need during your stay. There is a Starbucks just a few blocks away for that early morning coffee walk, if you need one. We are located in a very convenient part of Eureka, just a mile from Old Town Eureka, and 1/2 mile from the on ramp to Highway 101. You can quickly jump on Hwy 101 North and be in Arcata in just 8-10 minutes, or head south on the 101 and be on The Avenue of the Giants in about 40 minutes. You can get to a beach in the Humboldt Bay/Samoa in about 8 minutes, and any number of amazing local beaches (like Moonstone Beach and/or Trinidad) in about 30 minutes. It's an easy launching pad to just about anywhere in Humboldt County! We have a strict NO PET POLICY. If anyone violates this policy and brings their pets along with them during their stay, there will be an automatic $500 charge, as well as additional cleaning fees. Unfortunately, we just cannot accommodate your furry pals due to safety concerns for others who live and work on the property. Because this is an entire home with a sizable yard, this space is a wonderful option for remote workers and anyone needing a longer term living space while working/staying in Eureka.
