Apartement Ruisseau forms part of Maison Ruisseau, "a real get away from it all location" set in the heart of the Charente. Originally a farmhouse built in 1838, it has been tastefully and lovingly restored maintaining many of the character features of the region. Not far from the airport of Bordeaux, close to Cognac, and ideal for couples wanting to relax, solo adventurers, families and business travellers set in a picturesque setting of vineyards and sunflowers. The space The property is set within a very pretty walled garden with complete privacy, but benefits from an orchard and field overlooking the countryside. Each property has its own individual style complete with its own terrace. Secluded from the main house with private entrance and sun terrace overlooking the pool the Apartement Ruisseau has plenty of charm and original features, combined with modern necessities. Relax in the spacious lounge or slip out for a quick dip in the pool.......... The swimming pool is 9 x 5 mts complete with security alarm. The pool is open from May to October. It is shared between the three properties and is fitted with a safety alarm in accordance with French law. The property provides patio tables and chairs for all the gites; they are located on the terrace and in the garden to ensure sun all day and early evening, it's ideal for eating breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. Apartement Ruisseau is centrally heated and is strictly non-smoking. There is room for a child's cot (which we can provide) and also a high chair if necessary. Apartement Ruisseau with its two bedrooms is the ideal accommodation for a family or two couples. It has been carefully planned to make our clients feel relaxed and stress free whilst accommodating the needs of all four people to the highest of standards. The downstairs of the property has an open plan living/eating area (27sq.m) fitted with freeview television, and a DVD player. The recently fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, electric cooker/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. It has been fitted to highest standard for your comfort and convenience. The double bedroom and twin bedroom are airy, cool and light. The main bedroom (17sq.m) contains a double bed, dressing table and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom (10.5sq.m) is equipped with twin beds. Both rooms lead off a small landing, where there is a small door onto an individual balcony. The gites have their own parking area. Our gite is family friendly where you can be sure of first class hospitality and a warm welcome from the owners who strive to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. A welcome pack is included on arrival for 7 day bookings to include basic produce for your first night and breakfast the following morning.. All towels, bedlinen and pool towels are provided. Guest access Adjacent to the main residence Apartement Ruisseau retains complete privacy from the main building with its own private entrance to the rear of the property. The apartement is accessed through large gates and up five steps which overlooks the swimming pool and terrace area. The property is not suitable for those with wheelchairs. And sorry no dogs as the owners have a cat. Other things to note Maison Ruisseau provides you with patio tables and chairs for all the gites; they are located on the terrace pool area and in the garden to ensure sun all day and early evening, it's ideal for eating breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. Sun loungers and umbrellas are also provided for the garden and the pool area. Each of the gites is equipped with a barbecue and tools for 'al fresco' dining.
