"Stunning Sea Views, very private" It's said that pictures paint a thousand words but even photography has yet to develop sufficiently to do full justice to the panoramic sea views from Villa Dimitra, where gently downward sloping green lawns seem to disappear into blue, blue sea and the distant neighbouring island of Zakynthos takes centre stage on the horizon. The space One of a select group of Villas sharing the peninsular just south of the village of Spartia, we consider that Villa Cape Demetra has prime position at the end of the lane. Amidst a generous area of garden the accommodation ranges over two levels of comfortable living space all with easy access to the wrap around terraces and balconies from where the views are simply stunning. A light and spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area features no less than three sets of French doors to the covered terrace, encouraging a cooling through breeze on the hottest of days. The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas arranged by a fireplace and there’s a plasma sat TV and DVD player. The dining area is incorporated into the kitchen which is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker, fridge freezer and there are convenient French doors to the outside dining area. At ground floor level there’s a twin bedroom and a walk-in shower and W.C. On the first floor both the twin and double bedrooms have full bathrooms ensuite both with stand alone showers and access via French doors to a wide balcony on which to enjoy lazy holiday mornings or star lit evenings. The lovely 9m x 4m fresh water pool (non chlorinated) set amidst a stone paved terrace is just 4 steps down from the covered terrace and there’s a covered pergola for shade close by. If you are staying in, then there’s a purpose built BBQ in the garden, but if you are eating out then there is are tavernas just 5 mins drive away in the village of Spartia, where there is also a minimarket and above the arc of sandy beach down on the coast there are another couple of tavernas. For a wider choice it is not much more than a 10 min drive to Argostoli where an evening walking the promenade and around the square before making choice of restaurants is not to be missed. Villa Dimitra is well placed on the south coast for visiting many of the sandy beaches along the coast, Argostoli and St Georges Castle.
