2 bedroom quiet cottage Gillamoor North York Moors

Set within the North York Moors National park and within easy reach of York, Scarborough and Whitby, also close to Castle Howard, Flamingo Land and Rievaulx Abbey, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because is a traditional farm workers cottage in a small village, there’s a great village pub. The cottage was recently modernised with double glazed windows, full oil central heating and cosy log burner along with the all important free wifi. No pets allowed. The space You are free to use the whole house and garden, patio and bbq, there is parking just outside as it’s such a quiet village and street. Guest access As a holiday let you will have access to the whole cottage and garden, we live about 1/2 hour away and hope to pop in on your first evening just to check all is ok for you, otherwise you won't see us unless theres a problem. Other things to note Following a lot of hard work and a few purchases we are one of only a handful of cottages in the North York Moors National Park to boast being a Walker friendly, cycle friendly, nature friendly and dark sky friendly cottage, we also try to be as eco friendly as possible using eco friendly products and reducing our waste and carbon footprint when we can. We offer binoculars, torches, bird food, blankets, bike store, boot driers, buckets and brushes for cycle washing, cycle repair kit and much much more to help you walk, cycle, explore nature and dark skies in our area. We also have free access to Dalby forest with cycle and footpaths to help you get out and see nature, who knows you may spot the pine martins…..
