Welcome to La Grande Demeure de la Gissière, our family home dating back to the 17th century, fully renovated in 2018. It is rated 3 stars as a furnished tourist accommodation and holds the prestigious 4 "épis" label from Gîtes de France. Nestled in the heart of the Bocage Bourbonnais, in a lush agricultural setting, La Gissière offers a rare capacity for large families or groups, providing a unique setting to enjoy warm, convivial moments with family or friends. The space It is said that the house has been in the family since the time of Louis XIV; in any case, it was our holiday home where we spent vacations with our parents and cousins. We decided to keep the house and welcome travelers for holidays or short stays. To do so, we renovated the house in 2018, focusing especially on the functional areas: a large kitchen with a dining area for big gatherings, perfect for cooking together as a family, along with new showers and bathrooms. The layout includes: entrance hall, living room, dining room, TV lounge (with a 140 cm sofa bed) leading to bedrooms 3 and 4 and a bathroom; one bedroom (140 cm bed) with shower; two bedrooms (each with two twin beds 80x200 cm or one 160 cm double bed); one bedroom (160 cm bed) with shower; an additional bathroom; two separate toilets; and a laundry room. Heating is provided by a heat pump and additional electric heaters; air conditioning is available in the living areas. The house has high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi throughout. The house opens onto a courtyard with a large table and chairs, a lovely garden with sun loungers, a barbecue, and a parasol. There is a large shaded and flower-filled green space in summer, perfect for children, enclosed by walls or hedges for security. It is equipped with games for younger children (swing set, sandbox) and for older ones (ping-pong table, pétanque, skittles). A binder with all the local walking and hiking routes is available for your use. A visit to a nearby llama farm can also be arranged. There is a covered parking area for two cars. Bed linen and towels are provided, and the beds are made up on arrival. Babies are welcome. There is a possibility to rent a function room in the village. NON-SMOKING GITE. No pets allowed. Guest access The entire ground floor is accessible to guests, as well as the courtyard and garden. A bedroom on the upper floor is also available (accessed via a narrow staircase).
