The space This cozy cottage features native Rimu wood recycled from an old church, and our own milled timber -The inside shower has a flagstone floor and we have recently added an outside bathtub to soak and take in the amazing starry sky at night. An eclectic mix of art and furniture to create a welcoming cozy space. There is a kitchenette with a hob, and microwave. The cottage has a partial view through the bush to the Tasman sea. Surrounded by Paparoa National Park, birdsong, native bush all creates the peaceful, laidback and relaxing stay in Punakaiki. Wander down our drive to the lagoon and beach, the lagoon is glorious to swim an hour or so before and after high tide. We are located 600m from the Pancake Rocks, between the Punakaiki and Pororari 3 hour loop track, and ideally placed for the end or start of the Paparoa Great walk. Guest access Our property has laundry facilities for guests to use. We can offer free car parking while on the Paparoa Track if you stay with us. Also bike storage available.
