There is a lovely wood burner, brand new fitted kitchen, brand new shower room and space for four people in the two bedrooms. It's very close to the River Usk and the great pubs and restaurants that Crickhowell has to offer. The cottage was flooded on 16 Feb 2020 during an unprecedented storm. Since then it's been extensively refurbished towards the end of the lockdown with a brand new bathroom and kitchen, as well as completely redecorated downstairs. We're so pleased to be welcoming guests again. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property including the small patio for eating or having a drink outside. Other things to note The property is a no smoking home. Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay downstairs in the house. There is a fee of £10 per dog per night to be collected in cash on arrival. We are well aware of the environmental impact the holiday industry has on our local area. We encourage you to buy produce at our fantastic local shops, rather than bring things in from supermarkets. Our favourites for food are Natural Weigh, an award winning zero waste shop and Cashell's Butchers who have a great range of meat and vegetarian products. Grenfell's grocery shop covers everything else you should need and Bacchus is a large off licence. In particular, we ask guests to please think about reducing the amount of single use plastic they use. We have recycling bins at the cottage and ask guests to please make use of these. Collections are early on a Wednesday morning, so bins are put out on a Tuesday evening.
