Unlike properties managed by agencies or booking platforms, this is a truly private stay with no shared spaces and direct contact with the owners for a more personal, seamless experience. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation, the home features four spacious king bedrooms - two upstairs with private ensuites and Juliette balconies overlooking the vines, and two downstairs with tranquil views of the dam. A third large bathroom downstairs includes both a bath and shower, perfect for groups and families. Enjoy open-plan living with sweeping views of the Brokenback Ranges, the dam, and surrounding vines. The generous lounge comfortably seats 8 and features a cozy slow-combustion fireplace (BYO firewood). There’s also indoor dining for 8, and an outdoor entertaining area with dining and a Weber BBQ - ideal for relaxed meals overlooking the vineyard. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine (with pods), refrigerator, kettle, and a full set of utensils and cookware, making self-catering effortless. Powered by solar energy and solar hot water, the property runs entirely on rainwater (filtered through a two-stage purification system), and uses a 100% eco-friendly on-site sewage system. As a small vineyard transitioning to organic practices, your stay directly supports us in managing the high costs involved in the shift to more sustainable farming, and in caring for the land and its native flora and fauna. Other things to note 1) There are gorgeous kangaroos grazing around the property. They are still wild animals so please keep a safe distance from them. 2) If you are into a bit of vineyard history, the iyla Estate has the oldest vines in the Hunter valley region. The 1 ha of Cabernet sauvignon was planted in 1974 and 1.5 ha of Traminer the following year. "The Cabernet Sauvignon has been a consistent medal winner at Hunter shows." -JAMES HALLIDAY 3) Apart from the two vineyards (Cabernet vines) seen from the front and side of the property there is another third (Traminer vines) which can be accessed by walking past the bushes in the middle of the property towards the mountains.
