The Wandering Peacock is a lovely property, decorated in an eclectic artistic style. Nestled within the forest foot hills of the Appalachia trails this converted barn is minutes away from downtown Kent and just walking distance from Bulls Bridge, local river, waterfalls and the Appalachian trail. The Wandering Peacock is the perfect New England get away. The space The converted barn has kept its rustic feel while possessing all the comfort of a modern house. One full bed room with showers and baths decorated with romantic stained glass, Turkish lamps and a romantic atmosphere. The house can be used as a shared space with either the owners or other guest. It includes a partial bedroom downstairs, a full size kitchen and dinning room, a dance studio with full mirrors to use. There are five spare beds that can be used for guest as well. The owners are artist and world travelers. Unique stained glass decorates much of the windows and lamps in the house. There are also oddities from around the world used as decoration. The grounds are private with gardens and a fire pit area to use. There is an open view of the river and Native American Indian reservation that is breath taking. And Bulls Bridge and the AP trail are walking distance from the property. There are 2 peacocks and chickens in the backyard, they are living in a coop, so you can enjoy the company of this delightful birds. The house is only minutes away from Kent Village, and some of the best nature in new England; Kent Falls, Dover Stone Church and Bulls Bridge. Many farms are selling local products around, you can find fresh eggs, organic veggies and meet, honey, Dairy product and so on, everything localy produce with passion by local farmers. Guest access Access is towards the back. If we are not able to let you in there is a lock box with a key for guest to help themselves in. During your stay If you have any request we are on site to help you out. Other things to note The host live in the house and share the public space.
