Cottage Vogelenzang, our charming historic dike house from 1866 is located in Sint-Annaland, on the beautiful island of Tholen. Within walking distance of the beach and the village. The house has recently (2019) been restored according to the demands of this time while preserving or returning the unique authentic character as much as possible! The following things are important to know: The entrance of the cottage is on dike level. Here you will find the cozy living room with original beamed ceiling and carpentry! From the living room the staircase to the lower house is accessible, in the lower house is the simple, but fully equipped kitchen with granite top and tile sink, you imagine yourself in grandmother's time! The functional bathroom is located on a mezzanine and is equipped with a sink, hairdryer, toilet and a nice shower. On the upper floor is a spacious landing, with cupboard space, where you can store the suitcases and bags. The spacious bedroom is equipped with a new (2019) double bed with a sturdy cold foam mattress. The open sleeping loft is accessible from the landing/dressing room. Here you will find a doubter. From the kitchen in the basement you have access to the sheltered sunny garden, with a view of the beautiful, still in use Standerdmolen (the oldest in Zeeland!) . There is a plum tree in the garden, and also various herbs, which you can pick for your own use! You rent the cottage INCLUDING made up double bed (if you want to use the extra bed then you have to book for 3 people, or bring your own bed linen!), bath and kitchen linen, basic necessities such as coffee, tea etc, WiFi, digital TV with on-demand functions, various books and board games. There is also a folder with various leaflet tips for fun activities on the island and surroundings. During school holidays, a minimum of one week applies. (Fri-Fri) Check-in is from 15:00, check out until 11:00 am. Due to the decor, the cottage is unfortunately not suitable for little children. Babies who can't crawl or walk yet is no problem, but please bring their own cot, etc. Cottage Vogelenzang is unfortunately also not suitable for people who have difficulty walking or are dependent on a wheelchair due to the available stairs. The extra bed is not made unless booked for 3 people The cottage is located on the outskirts of a cozy and lively village. The Sunday rest is important for many people in the village, this means that the shops are closed on Sundays, and not all restaurants are open outside the summer season.
