During the high season there are many organized activities. In the vicinity are many nice towns and villages to visit, such as the idyllic Giethoorn (10 km), Assen (20 km) and Heerenveen (17 km). At 500 m you can do your shopping at the supermarket and eat out at local restaurants. For a day of hiking in nature, the Weerribben (15 km) are definitely recommended. The area lends itself extremely well to Bicycle tours and walks, the surroundings are beautiful. Caution: the park owner allows only recreational use of this chalet. Seasonal workers can unfortunately be denied access.
