Description
In the heart of a vibrant, tree-lined neighborhood at the edge of the city and convenient to everything, make yourself at home in our 2 big bedroom (a small third bedroom is "captive"), 1 and a half bath rowhouse. Walk to restaurants and nightlife a block away, or the city's largest park three blocks away. Easy public transit to Universities. Perfect for families with kids, couples, and solo travelers. Guests staying 28 days or longer will be required to sign a simple lease prior to occupancy. The space This space is very family-friendly and perfect for couples and professionals. We love our neighbors, and intend to maintain a quiet atmosphere for them. To that end, the property is entirely non smoking, and we ask folks who are seeking a party place to please consider a different home. Our home has two nicely sized bedrooms and one very small bedroom that is only accessible through another bedroom. Front bedroom: bright and sunny with morning light through the large street-facing east windows. Comfy queen size bed with quality linens, 32" TV with Amazon Fire TV stick, small vanity for makeup or laptop. Middle bedroom: cozy room in the rear of the building away from the hustle of the street, comfy king size bed with quality linens, 32" TV with Amazon Fire TV stick. This bedroom is connected to the captive bedroom. Captive bedroom: only accessible through the middle bedroom, this small third bedroom is the perfect place for a kiddo. Equipped with a twin bed and cubbies full of toys. PLEASE NOTE, the air conditioner that services the middle bedroom and back bedroom is located in this room, so in warm weather you'll want to keep the door that connects these two bedrooms open. In the living room you'll find a cushy Crate and Barrel couch, 38" TV with Amazon Fire TV Stick, DVD player, Wii video game system (guitar hero, etc), and a selection of DVDs and board games to keep busy. Near the front windows is a super snuggly papasan chair. There's also a desk for your laptop with a view of the bustling neighborhood. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you'd need-- dishes, cookware, utensils, wine glasses, Keurig coffee-maker, toaster, dish detergent, paper towels, gadgets, etc. Many pantry items are available including K-cups, tea bags, flour and sugar, condiments and spices. Bathrooms are equipped with fluffy towels, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a few "oops, I forgot" toiletries. The upstairs bath is a full bathroom with shower/tub combo, the downstairs bath is a tiny half bath just off the kitchen. Both toilets have built-in flip-down “potty seats” for toddlers. In the mudroom off the kitchen is a washer and dryer, laundry detergent, iron and ironing board, and space to leave your muddy boots behind after your hike in the park. Out the back door you'll find a little porch with seating for two to enjoy an evening outside, and a teeny tiny fenced-in back yard. Just beyond the gate is one dedicated parking spot for your car. Both the front and back doors are equipped with keypad locks to make arrival and departure simple. Other things to note IF YOUR PREFERRED DATES ARE BOOKED: I sometimes block off dates for our own use. If your dates are unavailable, message me and if there are no guests staying during that time I may be able to make it work for you. LONG TERM STAYS: guests staying longer than 28 days will be required to sign a simple lease prior to occupancy. YOUNG CHILDREN: I have 3 young kids and appreciate what it means to travel with babies and kids! If you're coming with young children, please let me know and I'll provide baby gates for the stairs and whatever other gear may be useful-- high chair, pack-and-play, stroller, bottle warmer, bath chair, baby monitor, etc. The living room has a rocking chair in case your little one needs a rock before bed. PET POLICY: well-behaved pets MAY be allowed with permission- let's talk about your pet before you book your stay. We have had both good and bad experiences with guests' pets. No excessive barkers, and NO DOGS ON FURNITURE. Guests must pick up the yard after their dog poops. Guests will be held responsible for any damage done by their dog. The fencing along the sides of the yard has a bit of a gap along the bottom so small pets or escape artists may be able to get out.
