Cabin Getaway
Description
This is your weekend getaway location. Solar panels, water storage and propane for you to experience complete off-grid living. No WiFi, no loud noises but instead board games and the sounds of the country. Relax on the porch overlooking the pond while having all the at home living things that you need, just smaller. Cook s'mores by the wood stove or right outside the cabin by campfire under the milky way and stars, seen like never before. Come experience it! The space A true off-grid space where normal hotel amenities are not available and the cabin life is at your fingertips. The water is stored on site, truly an off-grid experience. Drinking water is provided in a stand-up container. The electricity is provided by the sun and solar panels so you are depending on mother nature to provide energy. The toilet is not your normal hotel toilet but rather a compost toilet where directions are provided at the toilet. Wall propane heat is provided to keep you comfy all night. An open face wood stove is located at an inside corner of the cabin to light a small fire and cozy up to. There is a ladder to access the primary bed located in the loft, which is a little like a tree house entry, and there is also a pull out couch on the main level. The deck has an amazing view overlooking the pond and is elevated without railing to make the view even better. There is a small, 1.4 cf gas refrigerator and a two burner gas stove top as well. The neighbor has German Shepard dogs so if you bring your dog with just keep him or her close by. Cell phone service is not the greatest at this remote location adding to the retreat, off-grid experience but plan accordingly when using GPS based maps for directions (I will provide detailed directions after you make a reservation). Due to solar power energy no air conditioning at this cabin. I have blocked off the summer months due to no air conditioning but if you want a glamping weekend anytime through the summer just message me. Other things to note During winter snow months, access to the cabin is more challenging. If a concern, I will make arrangements to get you in and out as easy as possible. Appliances at cabin include: a small fridge (recommended to bring a cooler if needing a lot of things cold), a two burner stove top, coffee mugs, bowls, plates, silverware, and a few cooking utensils, a frying pan for cooking with on stove top, saucepan, kettle.
