There are cast iron radiators downstairs and in both bedrooms - these are powered by the solid fuel Rayburn in the main house which we only burn in the late autumn/winter or particularly cold snaps. They are heated to a relatively steady temperature for most of the day. We will provide a supply of logs, kindling and firelighters to get you started. Additional logs can be purchased for £6 per bag on request. We are not on mains water and the property is spring fed. At times we do have discoloured water, which is perfectly safe as it is filtered and UV treated on the property. We do however provide bottled water if you prefer. There is a two burner gas bbq available for guests, along with some outdoor games and a picnic hamper (ice packs in freezer). There is a small herb garden and guests are free to cut herbs for their own use during the growing season. Guest access Guests have shared use of an area of our front garden (please note it does have our stream running through it). Other things to note Please see notes under 'The Space' about log supplies for the wood burning stove. Please do ask if you're not familiar with using a wood burner - we are more than happy to offer some hints and tips on using it.
