The Old Chapel House - nr Helford River

Welcome to the Old Chapel house, a spacious character property within an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Lizard Peninsula. We are 2 miles away from the Helford River. The house is nestled in a small hamlet, a miles walk from an off-road National Trust walk through stunning woodland to Tremayne Quay. The space The Old Chapel House is perfectly proportioned for 8 guests to enjoy with parking for 3 cars. Our home is laid out over two floors, with hard flooring throughout and many character features as a nod to it's chapel heritage. There is plenty of space for a large group to spend time together, or to find their own quiet nook to retreat to if desired. Of note there is a downstairs ensuite bedroom for guests with mobility issues, with easy access to kitchen, dining room, lounge etc. The dining room is a focal point of the house, with a large round solid oak dining table that comfortably seats 10. Our large kitchen is well set to cater for the masses with two fridges, two freezers, an Alpha (similar to Aga/ rayburn) cooker and also a gas stove, so plenty of space to rustle up a large Sunday roast! We believe that great cooking deserves great table wear and supply everything photographed in our 'dressed table' photograph for your use during our stay. We also have a Nespresso Essenza machine for the coffee lovers. The living room is cosy with a woodburner (logs supplied) and 42 inch TV (HDMI hookup). Rest assured we have a good wifi service in the property, so you can stream to your heart's content. During the stay guests will have access to three spacious ensuite double bedrooms (two with double beds, one with a king size). The master bedroom offers stunning views beyond St.Martin church across open countryside. The master bathroom (accessed either as ensuite or via separate door) is striking and spacious, with a power shower and decadent roll top bath. Our guests will also be welcome to use our washing machine and tumble dryer during their stay.
