Updated 1800's Woodstock Farmhouse

We completely rebuilt our original farmhouse and carriage house, keeping the original ceiling beams and fireplace. 2 acres of lawns and a stream, surrounded by large old trees make it a peaceful and spacious place to get away from it all. The space Welcome to our farmhouse from the 1800's. This was a real farmhouse from a time before cars, with a carriage house next to it where they stored the buggy. Next door is the original barn, which someone else owns and has made into a home. We bought this place in the 90's when our first daughter was born with the intention of renovating it because when you walked into the living room it felt like the floor would give way and you would fall into the basement. When we renovated, we did our best to maintain the original feeling of an old farmhouse but with the comfort and convenience of a modern house. We also added on to the original with a couple of extra bedrooms and bathrooms, which ended up creating two separate sleeping areas, one upstairs and one in the rear of the house. One of the rooms in the back still has a large collection of kids books and games. This house is great for entertaining with an eating area in the kitchen and a large dining table adjacent to the patio where we have a gas grill and an additional outdoor table. The kitchen has all the equipment you would need for all kinds of cooking and baking. There is ample parking for at least 5 cars and large lawns for playing frisbee or football or whatever you can imagine. We even have a croquette set which kids love to play.
