This beautifully presented, semi-detached cottage is nestled overlooking the churchyard in the middle of the popular village of Caldbeck. This characterful, cosy cottage is situated at the top of a track leading to Priest’s Mill, an old watermill converted into a café and independent shops. Caldbeck is named after the river (Cold Beck) which runs through the centre of the traditional village where livestock still wander freely due to it being a conservation area. The village is also well serviced by a pub, two tea rooms, village shop, and a small gallery. This peaceful retreat is set down a quiet track, which is an ideal spot to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are a number of walks available right from your front door, including The Cumbria Way. There is some great cycling on the Coast to Coast and the Reivers Route. It is only a short drive through the rolling Caldbeck Fells to Bassenthwaite, Keswick and Cockermouth. Keswick plays host to a number of other outdoor activities from sailing to rock climbing.
