Close to Alba, Barolo and everything else you may visit while being in the area, including fine restaurants and famous wine producers. The space Cascina Talpa belongs to the municipality of Roddino, a small village located on the border between Alte Langhe, where mostly hazelnuts are grown, and Basse Langhe, one of the world’s most famous wine growing areas known for Barbera, Nebbiolo and of course Barolo wines. "Talpa" is Italian and means mole. The house has been bearing this name for decades, since it sits on a small hill looking a bit like a molehill. Around the house, you find nothing but vineyards of which 2.6 hectares belong to the property. The fully independent guest part extends on two floors. On the ground floor, there is a large living area with two glazed doors, almost ceiling-high, facing a stone terrace and a splendid lawn. A full kitchen, a cosy dining corner and a bathroom with walk-in rain shower complete the ground floor. A central staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are two inviting bedrooms and another bathroom with walk-in rain shower and natural light. Cascina Talpa is ideal for two to four people: one or two couples, a family, a group of friends. Please note that smaller children might be unsafe because the stairs are not protected by a safety gate. Obviously, the house is well heated in cooler days and scrupulous cleanliness as well as thorough disinfection before each rental are guaranteed. Guest access Terrace and lawn in front of the house invite you to sit or play. We provide deck chairs and outdoor furniture, so that you can relax and enjoy your meals outside. You will also find everything you need for playing badminton, boule or cricket. Washing machine and dryer (both shared with the owner) are in a separate room accessible from the ground floor and may be used at no extra cost. There is no swimming pool on the premises. The nearest public pool is in Monforte d’Alba, about six kilometres from the house. Other things to note Entrance to the house is fully automated. Download of one app is required.
