Description
Unique, secluded and very close to the Crocodile River, 'Ndida is the ideal nature-escape for those who enjoy privacy, quality and style This is The True Bushveld Experience The river is just a 1-min walk, so listen-out for Hippo and Elephant by day, and Lion and Hyena by night Two traditional bedrooms (1 queen & 2 single beds) with another queen on the mezzanine – house sleeps 6. Two toilets, 1 bath and 3 showers (2 outdoor) The resident Bushbuck, Warthog and Bushbaby await your arrival... The space Architectural gem set deep amongst the trees, and only a 1-min walk from the Crocodile River, and the World-reknown Kruger National Park. Spanning two 2000m2 plots, and bordered on all sides by large areas of pristine bush/parkland, the house offers a level of privacy that is difficult to match anywhere in Marloth Park. The house also sits on the confluence of two dry riverbed systems, so is completely surrounded by dense, jungle-like, riparian woodland – providing much-needed shade in Summer, and exceptional privacy all-year-round. But these tangled vines hoisted between mature Leadwood, Knobthorn and Marulas don't only benefit humans, they're also fantastic cover for birds, and for all the other animals that call 'Ndida home – e.g. Eastern (Yellowspotted) Nicator, Giant Plated Lizard and, the night's most enthusiastic guest (and the cutest), the Lesser Bushbaby (who love banana btw). Both the heated swimming pool AND the heated outdoor showers are a must-try. Even during the mild Lowveld Winter, it's a true privilege being able to take a nice warm shower whilst a troop of Banded Mongoose scurry past on their daily raid (searching for insects, reptiles and rodents). One of the best locations within Marloth Park – very close to the Crocodile River, but without compromising on privacy. Again, 'Ndida is the true bushveld experience. 'Ndida launched on 29th October 2018, it is fully-equipped and everything we provide at 'Ndida is maintained to the highest standard. Please let us know if there's anything we've missed from our inventory – we want it to be perfect. Guest access Marloth Park has two small shopping centres, which between them offer groceries, butchery, bottle-store, petrol-station, post-office, hardware-store and general supplies. There are also a handful of reasonably good restaurants – e.g. Jabula restaurant, The Tin Shack, Amazing Kruger River View restaurant and Ngwenya Lodge (5-min drive from Gate 2). Komatipoort is the closest town (15 mins – towards the Mozambique border) and it too has some decent restaurants – e.g. Tambarina, Stoep Café and the Kambaku Golf Club. Malelane (30 mins in the other direction – towards Gauteng) has a Nando's, Spur, Steers, Wimpy, KFC, etc. It also has a large, relatively well-stocked SuperSpar and a Shoprite. If you're driving from Gauteng and you appreciate finer-foods, and an overall more gentrified grocery-shopping experience, then there's a brand new shopping centre in Nelspruit (Ilanga Mall) with a fantastically huge Woolworths. Slight detour, but worth it. Other things to note IMPORTANT: Marloth Park has a very strict NO NOISE policy – this means NO loud music, NO parties, NO shouting, etc. Law-Enforcement and the Community Policing Forum respond to noise complaints immediately with a fine of R3,500. Although the bush poses its own dangers and threats to adults (snakes, scorpions, etc.), it is obviously even riskier for little ones. In addition (see photos), the property has a partially exposed mezzanine level, stairs (without a banister), and a raised swimming pool – so please, please keep a close eye on littler children.
