Charming self contained 2 bedroom cottage set on a small farm just a short 15-20 min drive from the beautiful town of Mudgee. Perfect for a weekend getaway to visit our award winning vineyards in the area or relax and soak up the country atmosphere in our cosy cottage. Take a farm walk with us and meet some of our animal family, "Reset Your Senses Country Style". The perfect base to explore the region with many day trips to plan depending on your tastes. The space Kick back and relax with your favourite book or enjoy a glass of our complementary bottle of wine from one of our local vineyards on the front deck of our comfortable cottage. Leave the stress of the city behind for fresh country air and an uninterrupted stay. Our cottage is stocked ready for you to enjoy a morning breakfast on the deck with our complementary breakfast basket for 1 morning (includes eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sourdough & orange juice) along with bread to toast, spreads, a selection of cereals, milk along with teas and coffee pods for the espresso pod machine for your stay. Both bedrooms have very comfortable queen beds with luxury linen which look out onto the paddock and dam. A very relaxed casual combined lounge, dining and kitchen area. Heating and cooling with reverse cycle system. Kick back & relax and enjoy sitting on the deck after a day exploring the local vineyards. A fire pit is available for roasting marshmallows and enjoying those bold Mudgee reds in the winter months dependant on local fire regulations, Tour buses are available to pick up and drop off if needed (To be booked by guests prior to your stay). As this is a working farm we do not allow pets sorry* Our cottage is set on 50 acres with a mix of animals. We have sheep, dexter cattle and alpacas as well as chickens, geese, turkeys and guinea fowls roaming around the grounds. We also have 2 farm dogs who are very keen for affection. There is a small gas BBQ and outdoor dining available. The cottage is fully fenced with its own entrance and a grassed area for the kids to play. We are also more than happy to arrange a walk around the farm with you if interested. Use our cottage as base to explore the region and the history of Hill End and Gulgong. Visit the Mudgee Observatory and the wonder of the vast open spaces. Go bush walking and hiking with The Drip and Fern Tree Gully just 2 examples nature walks in the region. Also we are only 1.5 hrs to Dubbo and the Western Plains Zoo. Guest access The cottage is fully fenced with it own access driveway. There is a gate for access to the homestead yard should you need assistance with anything during your stay. There is also a gate to access the front paddock and dam area, remembering animals can be unpredictable and staying a safe distance is advisable. Please ensure this gate is closed at all times. Other things to note Our cottage has a TV with satellite reception and DVD player with a great selection of movies. We have also recently installed Wifi and Netflix for our guests.
