Walk to downtown from this 2 bedroom duplex.
Open and airy designed home with lots of hardwoods and charming details. Gas fireplace kitchen open to the living room and the view through the french doors. Private dining room with decorative fireplace. So easy to get into downtown Raleigh take the bus or walk or bike or uber you can see the skyline from the oversized covered back deck. Full kitchen ready to go pardon the mess in the pictures we were in moving process. Make sure to read our policy about check in even if you don’t normally! We love how open the space feels but with the bedrooms separate. The view of downtown lights from the covered back deck is my favorite and the reason we live here. Lots of hardwood floors...tall ceilings... granite counters and all on one level. You can use any of the downstairs that is not locked or designated to not use with notices. We are a busy family of four so we will download as much as possible to you about things to do around us when you get here but then we tend to be on the go go go. We walk everywhere. There are tons of restaurants that are within 5 very short blocks as well as parks and the historic Oakwood neighborhood is charming to take strolls through. We can take any type of transit to get to downtown or just walk the 10 minutes to dinner. We are 2 minutes from the Alamo draft house movie theater if the weather isn't the best or quick hop to natural science and history museum as well as the super popular marbles kids museum. There is even a free bus line that is a 10 minute walk that can expand the restaurant options even more! We are in the city so there is always a construction project in process near us as people add on... rebuild or revive the neighborhood. Easy hop on the transit bus practically right outside the door... but not too close. Take a bird...ride a lime bike or just old school taxi for 4 bucks. This is a great spot in downtown Raleigh we live being able to park the car and leave it after work. There is a park in the next block. A large for the city back yard. Walk to restaurants, coffee and museums...or just walk! This is a city so the past five years has seen lots of construction around on all sides of us which can be noisy at times... if you are used to the country and no noise.
