'Walnut' Retreat

Nestled alongside Kuitpo forest, ‘Walnut’ is the self-contained and private guest wing of our 140 year old, heritage listed homestead. Relax in your private garden, walk the Heysen Trail, climb Mt Magnificent, or visit McLaren Vale Region wineries. The space 'Walnut' is the original guest wing / apartment of our large cottage. Offering total self containment and privacy it offers: rain water spa bath; hand turned Queen sized bed with goose-down quilt in sky-lit bedroom; well equipped kitchen with full country-style breakfast provisions; RC air conditioner and log combustion fire (firewood included); small DVD and book library; and small private garden with bbq facilities. Guest access Off road parking is available. Other things to note We advise all guests to bring a torch for a night walk in Kuitpo Forest, just over the road, to enjoy the native nightlife - Kangaroos, Possums etc.
