Near the Tahoe Donner recreation center, the town of Truckee and all the great ski areas in the north Tahoe basin. Tahoe Donner has a 10pm to 8am quiet policy! Brand new beautiful, fully equipped, custom built modern home completed in Feb. 2012 in very quiet neighborhood in Tahoe Donner, just minutes from the Tahoe Donner Recreation Center, Donner Lake, Truckee, Lake Tahoe and all the great hiking areas in the north Tahoe basin. Amenities include Wifi, DVD player, cable tv, beautiful hickory, hardwood floors and wool carpeting, cathedral ceilings., all new, energy efficient appliances in a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The main living area and master bedroom/bathroom are on the second floor with incredible views of the private back yard and access to a very large, second story deck with a new gas grill. There are two bedrooms, a bath, laundry facility and 2 car garage on the first level. The free standing gas heater in the living room is efficient enough to heat the upstairs yet cozy and romantic. The forced air furnace throughout the house ensures a warm environment on even the coldest nights. My home is perfect for families, couples or a small group of friends. It is in a peaceful neighborhood in Tahoe Donner just a short walk (ten minutes) from the Trout Creek recreation area. With the guest passes you will be able to use the homeowners facilities for a nominal $8 per day per person with in and out privileges (children under 6 are free) at the following facilities: Trout Creek Recreation Center which has a lap pool, family pool, hot tubs, dry sauna, steam room, cardio workout room, weight room, fitness classes, personal trainers and the chance to get a massage. The classes offered include Mat Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, water aerobics, spinning classes, master adult swim workout, core and balance classes and an adult swim club. Dining at Tahoe Donner. No need to drive into Truckee after a day on the slopes. Tahoe Donner has great choices for those who don't feel like cooking or want to have a night out. The Lodge and Pub has a menu that includes everything from great steaks to hamburgers and sandwiches. It is located on Northwoods Drive next to the golf course which is a short walk or drive from my home. Down the hill a little further,next to the other recreation area is Pizza on the Hill with a great selection of pizzas, sandwiches and salads and a more relaxed environment. Summer is full of incredible activities in the Lake Tahoe area. Beautiful Lake Tahoe is only a 25 minute drive from Tahoe Donner and well worth the trip. The lake is spectacular year round. In the summer, besides swimming, there is parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and just hanging out on the beach. The tennis courts and golf course at Tahoe Donner are available to my guests for a nominal fee; call for a reservation. There are numerous small shops in old downtown Truckee as well as a variety of good restaurants. It is a delightful little town with a long history of logging, harvesting of ice from the lakes to sell in San Francisco and now tourists. There is always something for everyone in this beautiful mountain town; including a rodeo in the summer. This is a non smoking, no pets, no loud parties property. Tahoe Donner has a 10pm to 8am quiet time policy; if you are looking for a place to blow off steam and make a lot of noise I would suggest looking outside of Tahoe Donner. The neighborhood my home is quiet with beautiful trees, open sky and friendly neighbors. It is a great place to just hang out on the deck or go for a walk anytime of day or evening. There is very little car traffic which makes it very safe for children.
