Scenic & Cozy Cabins on North Fork of Big Lost

The Big Lost Ranch and Guest Cabins are located on the North Fork of the Big Lost River, 18 miles from Sun Valley, and 35 miles from Mackay ID. We have two rustic cabins (3 bedrooms) right on the river as well as a third cabin (The bar) which serves as your indoor cooking/dining/living room area. We are at 7200 feet, and surrounded by mountains and streams. This place is best for outdoor lovers. I only book one group at a time so you are guaranteed complete privacy to relax and unwind. The space In addition to your 3 sleeping cabins, you have full access to our separate historic cabin/ bar and indoors cooking/dining area. There you have a small refrigerator, toaster oven, a two burner hot plate, coffee maker, microwave.... It is not a full kitchen, it is a bar. We find most of our guests prefer to use the outdoor gas grill and gas stove. It is located right outside the bar by the river. We guarantee complete privacy, so I will not book another party, even if I just have two guests staying here. This is why it is a little more expensive for two people. But you all get to enjoy tranquility within an amphitheater of mountains and the sound of the river. The area surrounding our ranch offers excellent fly-fishing, and hiking. We are avid outdoor enthusiasts and love to share our 30 years of experience living here in the summer. I prefer to communicate with everybody before I accept a booking. The reason for that is, I just want to make sure we are the perfect fit for you. My husband and I love happy guests down in the cabins. We do offer a satellite internet system in the bar, if you need to stay connected. The bar is stocked with dishes, but no dish washer, or garbage disposal, it's not a full kitchen. You are surrounded by national forest, beautiful Mountain peaks and trout filled rivers. My husband and I are living in the main ranch house about 350 yards up the driveway. We are located 18 miles going east over Trail Creek Summit, from Sun Valley. It is a beautiful mountain drive mostly on dirt road. It takes roughly 40 minutes to Sun Valley. You don't need a 4 wheel drive, but having good tires is helpful. We are still 35 miles away from Mackay, the road is paved going east. Other things to note The bigger cabin has two individual bedrooms one with a king bed and the other with a queen. They share a bathroom and shower in the middle. The second cabin is smaller and has a double bed with a toilet, sink and an outdoor shower. We have lots of launch chairs, picnic tables, and chairs right on the river.
