Welcome to the Green House, a recently renovated and tastefully decorated historic three bedroom and two bathroom home bursting with Southern charm. This light and attractive home offers a downstairs master suite with a King Size bed and a recently remodeled full ensuite bathroom with tiled walk in shower. There are two additional Queen bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs. Unfortunately no pets allowed. The space The Green House is Going Greener! Beaufort and the beautiful Low Country is a spectacular area of wild beauty that needs our help to keep it that way. We think that it is incredibly important to do our bit to help preserve our planet. We also believe that animals should be left out of the equation when it comes to testing products. To that end, we are making every effort to ensure as many of the things as possible that we provide to our valued guests are both earth and animal friendly. We hope that you will appreciate the efforts that we are making to make The Green House Greener and kinder and enjoy using the products too. We firmly believe that every little change can make a difference and enjoy the challenge of making those changes. You may find the info below about some of the products we have chosen of interest. Our products: Dropps We have trialed Dropps Laundry and dishwasher tabs in our own home for well over a year now and find them to be excellent. They use plant based cleaning power, so are free from the kinds of ingredients that prove harmful to sensitive skin and aquatic life. The pods are completely biodegradable and come in compostable packaging. Dropps does not test on animals either. You only need one pod for a lovely fresh load of laundry! Mrs Meyers We love Mrs Meyers Clean day. It ticks all of our boxes. The products work really well ( in our opinion better then the big chemical brands) are free from harsh ingredients, they use plant based ingredients and essential oils instead, so are completely safe around your family and they smell great! Mrs Meyers products are leaping bunny certified, so cruelty free as well. Plus, although their packaging is plastic, they use at least 25% post consumer recycled plastic for their bottles etc and many of their products are refillable as well! Method We enjoy using Method products because they are free from harsh chemicals and do a good job. They do not test on animals and they use 100% recycled plastic to make their bottles. Who Gives A Crap Toilet Paper We really hope that you find this toilet paper as great as we do. It took us ages to find a recycled paper that was pleasant to use. We like helping the planet, but we don’t appreciate having to rough it and neither should our guests. This paper is made from 100% recycled paper, it is unbleached and there are no dyes making it better for your skin and it also comes in paper packaging. It is shipped to us in a compostable cardboard box. Not only that, Who Gives a Crap donated 50% of their profits providing sanitary conditions and toilets for those people in the world that don’t have them. Win Win we say! Hippo Sak Trash bags Plastic bags and straws have been banned in retail outlets and restaurants in Beaufort. We are providing biodegradable trash bags for our guests to help aid the effort to stop plastic from suffocating the planet. We use Hippo Saks at home and love them. They are made from Sugar cane which is a renewable source and reduces our carbon footprint compared to plastic manufacture. They are still super strong and leak proof, but biobased and a little friendlier on our planet The box they come in is even made from recycled cardboard and is of course compostable. The trash bags in our bathrooms are now completely biodegradable too!
