Since 1725, we have been fulfilling the wishes of our guests in the Gasthaus zur Post and we like to do this with a lot of love for detail. The same has been true for our small vacation apartments since the 1980s. Starting with 3 smaller apartments, we have now converted the family walls into other apartments, so that we can now offer our guests 6 vacation homes. The apartments were all renovated in 2016 and offer everything a vacationer's heart desires. We can offer a wide range of apartments, from small apartments with one room to the 4-room Elbblick apartment. Our plus point: the unique location We are located in the southern part of Hamburg, in Cranz. The small town is located in the middle of the Mühlenberger Loch (Elbe) nature reserve and thus directly on the water. Our apartments all have a view of the river and are located on the dike. In addition, Cranz is the gateway to Altes Land, the largest fruit growing area in Europe. Our unique location in the Hamburg city area and in the middle of nature offers a very good starting point for tours through the city of Hamburg, the old country or along the Elbe. The city's public transport (bus, ferry) runs right outside the door and offers direct connections to the heart of the Hanseatic city every 15 minutes. We also have a garden right on the water that can be used by all our holiday guests. The space Our apartment is located directly on the river and offers everything you need for a stay in the Old Country! The apartment was newly renovated last year and has a box spring bed, kitchenette, flat-screen TV and a lovely view of the Este. Cranz is located in the south of Hamburg and forms the gateway to Altes Land, Europe's largest fruit growing area. Here you will find an ideal mix of good accessibility to the city and wonderful relaxation in nature. The region invites you to take delightful walks through the traditional fruit farms, along the dikes or on the banks of the Elbe. In addition to walks, our apartment is also ideal for cycling tours through the Elbe region. Bus line 150 stops right outside the front door, which runs every 10 minutes via Finkenwerder towards HH-Altona. In addition, the ferry from Blankenese docks directly behind our house, which commutes between Blankenese and Cranz every 30 minutes. Right next to our apartment is the Gasthaus zur Post, the oldest restaurant in Hamburg and always worth a visit. Guest access In addition to our apartments, you can of course also use our garden by the water. There is a small terrace with seating and sun loungers. If you are lucky, you will catch a day when our chef also smokes fresh fish there.
