Courtyard by Asapuwa

An old house from 1930, recently refurbished by the country's leading architect, Channa Daswatte MICDA, has been my family's ancestral property. Its doors were salvaged from an old Roman Catholic church to fit to the unusual height of the house at the time of construction. Keeping with the tradition, the architect who designed the new kitchen area looked for similar doors to harmonize with the old teak doors and windows. The space One of the entrances opens to a small, leafy courtyard. The two wicker chairs allow you to sit and enjoy the fresh air. The guests have direct access to the room, when the rest of the house is locked at night. Guest access You are welcome to use the living room, the dining room and and the kitchen. The large terrace on the upper floor is also superb spot to catch the receding sun. During your stay The house has live-in staff all the time. Nisa, the caretaker will be able to help you with most practicalities. I can be reached on CET, Central European Time, on WhatsApp and will respond to you at my earliest. Other things to note You are welcome to use the kitchen for preparing LIGHT meals. If you let Nisa in advance, she will be happy to prepare you any meals: authentic, Sri Lankan cuisine.
