Gypsy House | Southside vibe minutes from it all
Description
Gypsy House is small & cozy, (300 sq. ft) and was converted from a garage into an intimate, well insulated living space. It's located in one of the oldest & loveliest Historic neighborhoods in FW, Ryan Place. The house is 1 mile from Magnolia Ave, TCU, & the Trinity River Trails & Hospitals. It is 2.5 miles from Dickies Arena, Downtown and The Museum District & 5 miles from the Stockyards. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore the city or the local neighborhood vibe of FW. The space My guest apartment was renovated with salvaged wood. There is a lot of peely paint and maybe a little rust in the decor, if that's not for you..., I don't think you would enjoy staying here. :) It is a one of kind place that has lots of character, but not for everyone... It is ideally perfect for one person, but can accommodate two. The guest house is situated in the back yard of my personal home and there is a small patio area. the back yard is mostly private, I am only in the back yard to water the yard and plants usually in the morning or evening and I try to respect my guests privacy as much as possible. The apartment is one large room with the living area and bedroom divided by a partition wall and a small kitchenette as you walk in the front door. The bathroom is in a separate space steps down from the bedroom area. The kitchen is really not meant for cooking but I do provide a crock pot, a toaster, and microwave. The fridge is not full size. Guest access The apartment can be accessed by walking up my driveway and entering through the back gate. . The keys to the apt are in a lock box near the apt door and I will provide the code upon arrival. Please park in front of my house whenever possible. It is almost always available for parking, but occasionally it get taken. In this case, please park to the north of my house on the street. My home has a porch light in the shape of a star, and a black and white striped awning on a 2nd story window on the front of the house. the address #'s are on the driveway curb. Other things to note I have two, very old, small dogs. Izzy the larger of the two is 15 and she is a Yorkie. Gypsy is a 10 year old, tiny chihuahua. They are almost always inside, but do need to come out occasionally. If you happen to bump into them, they will bark at you, but they are harmless and very friendly. I have string lights in the back yard that are set to a timer, if you would like them to be turned off at any time, please let me know. The front door exterior light comes on automatically as well, if you do not want it on, just flip the light switch to off. The light switch is located by the front door. There is a dehumidifier behind the chair in the living area. If you're staying long term, please be sure to empty it on occasion. It will turn off automatically when it is full.
