Boolarong is a contemporary award wining 3 level beach house with expansive views of the Coral Sea to Moreton Island. Designed by architect Shane Thompson, Boolarong showcases Queensland modern casual beach living. The top level features an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining opening to the verandah. Middle level - 3 bedrooms, main with ensuite and a 2nd bathroom and the ground level entrance, stairs, laundry and parking. Spotted Gum timber screens to mid-level and upper level windows are a distinctive external feature of the house. Exterior walls are clad in CSR Wunderlich terracotta tiles –referencing the painted fibre cement sheeting of traditional houses and beach shacks. The hoop pine interior provides a casual and relaxed ambience'. The house has been designed for maximum cross ventilation and captures the prevailing breezes. Within walking distances to Home Beach, Straddie Pub, Kokomo Restaurant and extensive bush walking tracks. It is a short drive to the Point Lookout shops and other local attractions.
