Hosted at DeeMandala Farms. This retreat is ideal for free spirited groups of nature lovers who are feeling trapped in the city. We have over 100 acres of safe space for you to explore. Our *rustic farm cottage* is fitted with *basic amenities* and Wi-Fi. If you are excited by the freedom we offer, and enjoy homely, locally sourced healthy meals then this is the space for you :) We require that all our visitors are kind hearted towards people, pets and nature. No fussies and grumpies allowed :) The space Please note that our facilities are very clean but may not look that way in the photos as the cottage is over 20 years old. Being a female traveler myself, my top most priority is and always will be hygiene during your stay. The space looks different depending on when you are visiting us. Monsoon and winters are when it's the most green. Also to be noted that this is an unmaintained property. The greenery that you see in the photos is just what is literally in front of the cottage. We implore you to take advantage of the safety and seclusion of the space and explore the farm to it's fullest extent. Our cottage also has an open structure with a tree growing in the middle of it so come experience the outdoors and the indoors at the same time (at time this may also mean the rains come in as well so do carry indoor slippers). In Kannada we call the structure a Totti mane. it has 5 entrances and 4 suites separated by hallways. 2 different dining spaces, one inside with sunbirds joining you in the mornings and one outside under the bamboo grove. Each suite has 2 rooms, with a double bed inside and a double bed outside and a shared clean bathroom LBGTQIA+ friendly Guest access We have a rain water harvesting lake that differs in size depending on when you visit. Nice to go for a swim in it if you're used to open waters. Other people in your group can enjoy a picnic and play some frisbee. Currently, we aren't growing anything so we don't offer farm tours. We're more an Airbnb that asks you to use the space as your own and go exploring on the endless trails and pay attention to the littlest things. We have over 140 bird species if you're into birding. During your stay Our staff can speak Kannada and little bit of hindi along with other local languages. They're typical tribeswomen who are rough on the edges but big softies who will take good care of you .... excellent care guaranteed if you can get them to like you. :P That was a joke. :) Other things to note We have a cook available onsite who makes delicious south Indian dishes, we have only veg options available. Prefered languages are kannada, Telugu and little Hindi, you can use the net to translate if needed. Reiterating that we do not want visitors who feel privileged enough to be disrespectful to the staff or the property and have a "paisa vasool" mindset.
