Please search our other listing, Treetops The space The Treetops offers private luxury accommodation in a waterfront setting overlooking Newlands Arm on the beautiful, picturesque Gippsland Lakes, located 3.5 hours east of Melbourne. You'll find us in a unique peaceful setting literally among the treetops where the only sounds are often the birdlife and the odd boat passing by. PETS: We generally welcome most pets but would prefer if you advise us prior to booking as not all animals are suitable and the space doesn't offer an enclosed yard. Guest access Guests have their own private access to the entire lower level which includes 2 lake view bedrooms each with queen size beds, all linen and towels supplied, walk in robes, ceiling fans, Nobo radiant heaters and a spacious living area with lake views. Here you have the option of a sofa which converts to a double bed enabling 6 guests, a dining setting which seats 6, a large modern bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet and sliding doors opening out onto a private elevated decked area overlooking Newlands Arm. This balcony boasts stunning views of the Lakes, a perfect area to relax, perhaps catching a sunset as you wind down with a drink upon arrival. We also provide a BBQ here for guests use. The living area includes a large LED TV. A HDMI cord is available for use with your laptop. Broadband WI-FI Internet included. You'll find a functional kitchenette in the dining area, which includes a microwave, bar fridge, pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, wok, frypan, crockery, cutlery and glasses. We supply cereals, milk, coffee and a variety of teas. We provide parking for 1 vehicle in our carport and there is also off road parking available. The driveway may appear a little steep but if you cruise down slowly you shouldn't have any trouble! We offer use of a private jetty if you wish to throw a line in, go for a dip or just wander down to take in the view. Boat mooring is also available on jetty for runabout / ski boat (Please contact us for details). There is a delightful, lakeside walking track at the bottom of the property. From here it's a 20 minute leisurely walk to the Paynesville Esplanade where you can enjoy an array of cafes and restaurants including the infamous 'Sardine', (a unique restaurant that places high value on fresh local produce), Chinese, pizza, takeaway fish and chips or Thai at the local Cruiser Club. Along the way you can stop at Sunset Cove, (a lovely protected sandy beach area. This spot is great for kids and also has a playground. At the end of the Esplanade you can jump on the ferry to Raymond Island where you can experience the well known koala trail. Raymond Island is also home to over 60 bird species. If you walk or take a bicycle on the ferry it is free of charge. Paynesville is a delightful coastal town, better known as 'the boating capital of Victoria'. It's surrounded by lakes on 3 sides with many canals and inlets. The lakes are perfect for motor cruisers, yachts, power boats, jet skis and kayaks. You might like to fish for flat head, bream or mullet, or hopefully watch the dolphins that are well known to this area. (Boat hire is available from Bulls Cruisers in Slip Rd). You’ll also find a wide variety of retail outlets including 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, 2 bakeries and a wine bar which has live entertainment on weekends. There's safe swimming areas and playgrounds, an 18 hole golf course just out of town and a bowls club plus many walking trails to keep wanderers happy.
