Description
First floor of a light industrial industrial building from early C20th in Shoreditch / Hoxton. The space Very cool, eclectic and personal, lateral loft space taking up the first floor of an industrial turn of the C20th workshop in Shoreditch / Hoxton. In the same building as the other two units listed The flat comprises one large room, with a three quarter height kitchen divider separating the living space from the bedroom, and from the bedroom, a door leading to a separate bathroom with bath and shower. The space has enormous windows on three sides – fitted with blackout roller blinds. Furnished with design originals including a super comfy sofa and a dining table that seats eight, the main space has a HD projector connected to an Apple TV / freeview box / DVD player and very fast wifi (500+meg). The large loading doors at the end of the space can be opened to let the outside in. Great mood lighting. Kitchen equipped with a gas hob, an electric oven, a dishwasher and fully stocked with cooking utensils and crockery. Central heating keeps the space toasty in winter despite the large crittal windows There is a laundry area with a washer / dryer and separate dryer, as well as an old fashioned clothes airer over the bath. The bathroom is functional and spotlessly clean. Towels and bed linen all white and of the best quality (400+TC sheets) and the bed has a king size (160cm) Tempur mattress. At additional cost, I can arrange for a futon mattress so the space can accommodate 3-4 people in total (the sofa is also very comfortable to sleep on). There is a fantastic coffee shop 15 metres away, perfect for breakfast and a late opening dry cleaners two shops down from that, who can press shirts etc. while you wait, if you tell them that you are staying with me. The nearest pub is just at the back of the building (but we don't hear any noise from them) and they serve excellent pizza until late. There is also a late opening Tesco mini supermarket at the other end of the road and an organic grocery four minutes walk in the other direction. I've lived in the area for fifteen years and happy to suggest bars, restaurants, art events, parties etc. depending on what you are looking for. Guest access Guests have an entire apartment to themselves. The building also houses a permanent family home, so a pile in from a bar at closing or a party is not possible. Wish here is to keep it a chilled environment, safe for all. Other things to note There are 3 flights of steps, each with 8 treads, from ground floor to the unit entrance door. The place looks, and is, super cool.. but if you have come to London to party, the building isn’t for you.
