Brigitte's Mazot in Chamonix

Brigitte's Mazot is a cosy little chalet (15sqm), with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Situated in the area of Les Moussoux, it's an easy stroll to Chamonix yet you can sit on a delightful south facing balcony in peace and enjoy the mountains. In winter you can walk up to the main Chamonix lift (10 mins in ski boots) for skiing on the Brevent, or take the ski bus from there to other ski areas. In summer there are some amazing hikes straight from this small chalet to the Petit & Grand Balcons. The space The mazot is made up of a cosy studio room with a comfortable double bed, a well equipped mini kitchen (with fridge, hob & microwave with grill, cafetiere) and shower room. Fresh sheets and towels are provided. There is also off street parking available close by if you have a car. Guest access The mazot is in a quiet, peaceful garden in Chamonix but only 10 mins walk from the town centre. There are stunning panoramic views from the mazot across to the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc. You can also walk up to the Brevent lift station in about 10 mins. The local bus service is good and takes you up and down the valley to all the main ski areas. The nearest stops are about 800m from the mazot on Allee Recteur Payot and Chamonix Sud. Geneva is the nearest airport, about 70 mins drive. If you have a car there is off road parking near the mazot. If you don't have a car the easiest way to get to Chamonix from Geneva is by minibus transfer or bus. Lots of companies offer minibus transfers. We normally suggest Mountain Drop offs who bring you to the door. There is a Geneva transfer stop for other companies in Avenue de Courmayeur in Chamonix Sud. Other things to note The mazot is situated in a large garden behind Chalet Les Mazots, so called because of the 2 little mazots (this one and Stephen's Mazot), which in times past were used to store valuables.
