THE NEST by Skybox Cabins

At the tip top of the Texas hill country, The Nest offers spectacular views from its perch. Recently featured on the Southern Living website, The Nest is a hybrid cabin with features of both a treehouse and a bohemian bungalow. This truly customized getaway, is filed with wonders from the portal entry to its Texas cedar observatory. Once you arrive at this "Pinterest perfect" cabin, you'll never want to leave. Minimum age for guests is 18. The space To access The Nest, you must follow the rock path through the portal gate and onto the front porch. The cedar harvested from our property surrounds over half the cabin and provides a decorative camouflage. From the cover of nearby cedar and hardwoods, you are guaranteed a concert from our local birds and maybe even a gobble from the wild turkeys. Deer, jack rabbits, horses and a couple of cows may also pay you a visit. The Nest is furnished with electricity, hot water and air conditioning/heating. A small refrigerator, coffee maker, induction cooktop and microwave can be found in the kitchenette. There is no TV so bring a book or maybe just good company! Refunds will not be given in the event of internet outages. The following will also be provided with your stay: *Bed linens and pillows (Queen size memory foam bed) *Towels *Shampoo/Conditioner *Body wash/Soap *Picnic grill (provide your own charcoal) *Plates, glasses, silverware, some cooking utensils, pots and pans *Water filtration system with drinking water on tap at the kitchen sink *Some snacks and drinks Guest access Our property is gated and the entrance code will be provided on your check in date. The keycode to the Nest will also be provided at that time. Parking is available on site. Guests are free to explore the 50 acres of private land. Walk the property down to Possum Hollow creek (seasonal) and stick your feet in the cold Paluxy water or find a sunny spot on an oversized limestone rock and just have a drink and relax. Located minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park, downtown Glen Rose and Fossil Rim, there are options for outings...if you bring yourself to leave the serenity found in our little bungalow. Other things to note Our property is located in nature and you can expect to find some creepy crawlies. Make sure you pack bug spray if you plan on spending time outside walking around, especially in the mornings and early evenings. Our dogs do have free reign of the property. They are friendly and love to lead our guests on walks. In order to maintain a serene environment for all of our guests, guests under the age of 18 or more than two guests are not permitted. Guests who violate this rule will be asked to leave the property immediately. Date changed requests must be made 21 days in advance of check-in date. Only one date change is allowed.
