Farm stay in Lexington

Pleasant Valley Cottage is a 1100 sq ft, beautifully furnished, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home, with new high speed, dedicated, wired and wireless internet connection. It sleeps up to six guests and is located on a lovely property, with a sparkling creek, smokeless fire pit, gardens and nature, yet in a neighborhood only five minutes from Lexington, 2.8 miles to Horse Center, 3.5 miles W&L, 3 miles to VMI. The space The cottage is prepared for your stay with care. High speed internet dedicated to the cottage with wired (Ethernet cable) and wireless internet connections. There are comfortable beds, luxury linens, and a very well outfitted kitchen which includes extra amenities like a blender, waffle maker, food processor, and rice cooker. New smokeless Blue Sky fire pit, Adirondack chairs, hammocks, picnic tables and gas grille available seasonally. Guests may use the washer and dryer with laundry soap and dryer sheets provided. There is a smart TV with wifi (not cable/network) VCR/DVD. Guest access We welcome guests to enjoy the beauty of nature while staying here. You can hear and see the sparkling clear stream flowing through the property from your rooms. The property has beautiful walnut, oak and sycamore trees as well as evergreens. There is a smokeless Blue Sky fire pit available which uses pellets or wood. Four Adirondack chairs surround the fire pit. There are two double rope hammocks beside the creek during the warmer months. There is a large four-season garden with seasonal flowers and vegetables in the meadow. Flowering trees, shrubs, and spring bulbs are planted throughout the property. Daffodils are usually in bloom in April. Wildlife, including many varieties of birds can be seen around the property. During the warmer months, near dusk you can watch Great Blue Heron fishing near the water, or hear Kingfisher song. Other things to note If you want to purchase wood for the fire pit please let us know in advance, a wheelbarrow full of wood can be provided for $25. Thank you. We occasionally allow a very well behaved dog on a case by case basis with an extra charge of $25 per night. Please contact us in advance of your stay.
