Description
Queen's Retreat offers you everything you need for a summer or winter outdoors holiday with extended family and friends. Our bach is perfectly located with Turoa ski-field a 40 minute drive away, and pickups for Wanganui River rafting, the Tongariro Crossing and mountain bike adventures just around the corner. All set up for relaxing after your day's adventure with spa pool and sauna. The space Our property is a renovated 1900's house, with a great vibe, and useful things like having a covered veranda to store bikes (with handy outdoor power point to charge your e-bike overnight) and adventure gear. The house is fullly insulated to keep you super warm in winter and is fully fenced with a great outdoor living area. To keep the kids (of all ages) happy we have unlimited wifi, and chromecast - as well as a foozball table. Our property is fully fenced, and there is plenty of space for everyone with a separate living space for the teenagers or younger kids to hang out. We have a great kids playground one block away, the Dinosaur house museum on the main road, and a lovely river walk across the road. Around one corner the bus leaves for the Tongariro Crossing, and the other corner mountain biking/jet boat/kayaking adventures at the Bridge to Nowhere and Whanganui River. It is 40 minutes drive to Turoa Ski-field, and the big brother township of Ohakune is 10 minutes away. Other things to note Linen is available on request (sheets, pillowcases and towels), at a charge of $25 per bed, please let us know when you book if you would like linen included, and this will be added separately to the total ArirBNB charge. Otherwise, you will need to bring your own pillow cases, sheets and towels - everything else (pillows, duvets, extra blankets etc) will be provided.
