Private room and bath in comfortable home. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, who welcome guests. Our gated community is halfway btwn beach and Bogue Sound, a short walk. Spend time on our pristine beach or watch the sunset from our community pier. We are happy to welcome you to our haven. Weather cancellation: if nat'l weather svc issues trop. storm or hurricane warning, there is no penalty. Long term rental- especially contractors for storm recovery- msg directly for weekly rates. We are an archeologist, artist and philosopher. Books abound, as do paintings..finished and in progress. Our furry children are well behaved - except maybe our new cat, who is a bit rambunctious. Our guest room has a queen sized bed, ample closet space, privacy. The guest bath is just next door to room and is also private. Towels are provided. We have 2 beach chairs to share, but recommend you bring your own beach towels. We also have an outdoor shower for your use on return from the beach. We are happy to share our kitchen. Let us know if you need a shelf in the frig. Feel free to pick up some groceries and cook or grill, and clean up after...just coordinate with us so we can stay out of your way and still get to work on time. While there is no tv in the guest room, on request we are happy to share tv time in the main living room. Alternately, take advantage of our wide DVD and Blu-ray collection, or cast from your phone to the living room TV. We are friends of Tony A. and Bill W. If you have needs, we expect you to ask. We will accommodate you as best we are able. Guests have access to the living room, kitchen and dining area, front porch and side deck. Entry to house is up a flight of stairs. Smokers outside only and mind your butts (or is it buts). We are available by text. Phone too, but txt is usually faster. We are introverted extroverts...socializing is great, but don't mind us if we step away for a little quiet time. Our shared spaces are also our living spaces. Need more time alone - just ask. Feel free to reach out as needed. We want your stay to be comfortable and relaxing. We live in a quiet community made up of families and couples. Most here are active and love our surrounding environment: sea turtle sanctuary, dolphin play ground, pelican roost. The park is just next door and offers, frisbee golf, walking trails, and gentle wildlife. Walk the half mile to the beach (rent bikes for quicker travel). Golf cart rentals are also locally available. Shops, restaurants, mini golf, tours, and other events are best reached by car, but most are within a couple to a few miles.
