Description
Modern seaside flat just a 25 minute train or car journey to central Edinburgh. Lovely coastal walks with breathtaking views. Sunsets are a must with a bottle of wine. Just a 20 minute drive to the airport or a direct train. Great cycle networks and walks directly in front of the flat as we are actually on the famous Fife Coastal Path. Excellent central location to explore Scotland with the mountains, St. Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow all less than an hour from your doorstep. The space Our first floor flat is a homely space in a lovely location comprising a double bed and also a pullout sofa in the living room that can be utilised at a push. Just let us know and we can arrange this to be made up for your stay. The train station is one mile away which you can walk to in 15 minutes or drive to in a few minutes. The trains into Edinburgh run every 30 minutes and the journey in takes 25 minutes to Haymarket and 30 minutes to Waverley station. If arriving at Edinburgh airport during the day you can catch the tram to Edinburgh Gateway then catch the train to Dalgety Bay. There are beautiful coastal walks with stunning views directly in front of our flat and a handful of restaurant/bars in Dalgety Bay with great food and drinks. Nearby Aberdour also offers superb dining, gardens, award-winning beaches and even a castle. Would suit visitors looking for access to Edinburgh Festival or simply for a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle. Frankly speaking, it's a bit of a hidden gem. Guest access You will have access to the entire flat. All the wardrobe space, fridge/freezer space is for you to make use of during your stay. A selection of books and DVDs are also available but do please leave them in the flat when you leave. If you are halfway through one of our books we can accept swaps or perhaps late returns if you ask nicely. 😉 Other things to note If visiting for Edinburgh festival and planning to travel by rail, please check the time of the last train back to Dalgety Bay or Inverkeithing as during the festival a taxi back may cost up to £60. Train tickets are £5.60 off peak and £9.60 peak times return at time of writing.
