A charming 1880's cottage conveniently found in Brackney, PA, a short drive from Binghamton, Endicott and Vestal, NY. We are located close to local breweries, wineries , Salt Springs State Park and various recreational activities, and are 1/2 mile from The Barn at JJT Farm. We are approx. 15 minutes from Binghamton University and SUNY Broome. Upgraded living spaces and new bathrooms highlight the union of modern conveniences with original aesthetic. Several outdoor areas to enjoy on property. The space This is a totally updated 1880's house, while still retaining its old-time charm. Millstone has been completely refurbished but we took care not to make it look modern. The upstairs has a vaulted ceiling with fan/lights. . As was customary in the period that this house was built, the stairs are quite steep. There are hand rails on both sides, but the stairs could be difficult for older people, especially in light of the sleeping quarters all being upstairs. In the late 1800's, the property had a grist mill behind it on the creek, and some of the dam is still standing. Enjoy listening to the water flowing while sitting on the side deck, roasting marshmallows in the firepit, or looking down on the creek from the 3 season room. Whatever you choose to do, it will be a relaxing stay! Guest access You will have access to whole house but not the side-building. Front door access code will be communicated after reservation. 5 The entire house will be yours, including the side patio and backyard. We are in a country setting, so there is a good deal of space before the next neighbor. Other things to note You will find a half gallon of milk, some bottled water, a couple yogurts and basic condiments in the refrigerator for you. The kitchen has some basic cooking ingredients and spices as well.
