Pretty loft apartment with garden

Fig Cottage is a comfortable, sunny apartment in the old coach house of a beautiful 17th century farm tucked away in a secluded valley. The flat is very peaceful; the pretty open plan living room overlooks the sheltered garden and fields beyond. The space The coach house flat - Fig Cottage - is set in the grounds of one of the prettiest houses in the area - the 17th century farmhouse sits in lovely gardens in a sheltered valley and has a timeless, peaceful atmosphere; there is very little to disturb you other than birdsong and the baaing of sheep in the surrounding fields. Access to the flat is by steep external stone steps. The open plan living room has stripped wooden floorboards and is furnished with comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player, a pretty dining table and a simple kitchen equipped with electric cooker and fridge. In good weather, sun streams in through the kitchen window in the morning and the living room window in the afternoon; this room has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The double bedroom has a chest of drawers and built in wardrobe, and the window looks out into the garden through the branches of an ancient and very productive fig tree which gives the apartment its name. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. The loft is heated by radiators and there is an electric heater in the bedroom as well. * Pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the host - we specify one dog but are happy to be more flexible if appropriate. There is a small weekly charge and we ask that they are properly supervised as we have free range chickens and there are sheep in the surrounding fields. Guest access Guests at Fig Cottage have the use of their own sheltered walled garden with lawns and flower beds, an old cobbled area which used to be where carts and carriages were housed, and steps leading down to the stream which flows through the valley. Garden furniture is provided. Other things to note Access to the apartment is by steep external stone steps so it is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with steps. The cottage does have WiFi but please note that we are in an area with low speed broadband. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar will be provided.
