The Writer's Retreat at Moon Gate Villa

Moon Gate Villa is an elegant country lodge built just outside Kerikeri township amongst traditional orchard hedges. The grounds feature 1.5 acres of open lawns and lush, tropical gardens with hidden destinations to relax and enjoy this private retreat. We are only 4 minutes walk to the weekend markets, and close to many restaurants and cafes. The space Accommodation is either in the spacious villa guest rooms with large windows and doors overlooking the gardens, or the traditional orchard cottage in a private corner and garden area. All guests have access to our public spaces; a large guest lounge and terrace, our solar heated lagoon swimming pool and garden spaces. Dedicated, off-street parking is available to all guests. Guest access The "Writer's Retreat" is our most special room, with views over the terrace ponds and gardens. It has a walk in wardrobe, and a full size marble bathroom with a deep soaker bath. A huge super-king size double bed with a luxury topper and quality linens ensures a brilliant night's sleep. The suite has private outside and inside living/dining areas complete with large smart TV, surround sound and complimentary Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney TV. A mini bar area has a bar fridge, microwave, glassware & dishes. Complimentary tea and coffee area replensihed daily. Other things to note Unless specified, breakfast and daily rooms servicing is included in your rates: there are no extra fees. Note that the main villa kitchen is used to prepare our guest breakfast and is not available for guest use for health and safety reasons.
