We keep the lights on during load-shedding! The secluded nature of Bay Vista with no shared facilities, makes it the perfect getaway. We have wonderful ocean, valley and mountain views. The apartment is below the main residence, and offers a comfortable, sunny, spacious self catering home-from-home. Ideal for a couple; can also accommodate a family with a child, depending on your requirements. The space Bay Vista Garden Flat is your home from home. We have lovely ocean, mountain and valley views - and a quiet, safe neighbourhood. The large indigenous garden has rambling pathways to explore, with a stream, waterfall and beautiful koi pond, and abundant birdlife. (We provide our own bird identification guide if you're a keen or just interested birder - see the photos). There are even a few tortoises that you can look for. Perfect for a couple, with extra bed for 1 child. The bedroom is separated from the living space by a curtain. The full, separate kitchen is spacious, with all amenities, and includes a washing machine. The bathroom is light and bright, with a shower enclosure over the bath. Load-shedding is no longer a major problem: we have an inverter / battery system installed - just a blink, and the lights remain on. Wi-fi too. You have a single burner camping style gas cooker for load-shedding, or we can supply a 2-burner if requested. Outside is an outdoor table and benches and umbrella on the lawn, sheltered from the prevailing summer south-easter. There is also a portable / moveable braai / barbecue, for a fresh air evening meal or breakfast. Guest access Braai/barbecue facilities, free wi-fi (we are on fast uncapped fibre), your own full DSTV decoder (you can record your programmes) , table benches and umbrella for outdoor relaxation. Parking is within 3 metres from your front door. A washing machine is in the kitchen, and an indoor clothes line if needed. There is also an outside fold-out clothes drying rack. Other things to note Minimum rental period is 4 nights. During December/January longer minimum rental periods may apply. Great discounts offered on stays longer than 28 days.
