The area is a haven for walkers, with a 3-mile beach stretching away from the town, as well as the dramatic South West Coast Path. The main living area is a sociable, open-plan space comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner and is decorated in a contemporary style. Spend time here, reclining on the plump sofa, testing out new recipes in the stylish kitchen area, and sharing memorable mealtimes around the table whilst watching the boats bobbing in the harbour. A welcoming twin bedroom and a shower room are also on this level. Upstairs, on a mezzanine floor, is the beautiful double bedroom with a glass balcony and en-suite bathroom. Outside, there’s a charming shared patio where you can sip a morning coffee at the bistro table. Porthleven is a traditional fishing port, and you’ll always find something to watch on a walk around the lively harbour. After a stroll, pop into one of the restaurants or pubs to sample some delicious local seafood. Porthleven’s beach is sand and shingle, and is a great place for a picnic or long walk along the shoreline. It’s also a popular spot for experienced surfers. For a more buckets-and-spades-type beach, head to the family friendly Praa Sands, just 5 miles along the coast.
